Mask Production is complete.
A huge thank you goes out to all our residents that have contributed to making these masks for our village. The ladies have made approx 100 masks and they will be gifted throughout the village this week. As you can see - there are more ways than 1 to wear a mask as well😂

BREAKING: Queensland borders will close to New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory from 1am this Saturday, August 8.

All visitors will be denied entry except for rare exemptions and returning Queenslanders will have to pay for 14 days mandatory hotel quarantine.

Queensland’s Chief Health Officer has declared all of New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory as hotspots.

Only residents of border communities and essential workers, such as truck drivers, will be able to cross the border.

Exemptions – including for compassionate reasons – will be limited.

Passes for border communities will be for those with proof of address and photo ID.

The border closure will be reviewed at the end of the month.

Lesley (Case Manager-Homeserve) was out and about this week visting all our Baldwin Living Homeserve clients at Sequana and our village in Brisbane. Lesley is only phone call away to help our residents to discuss their current or upcoming needs. She is always happy to see our residents as they are our number 1 priority. If you missed her this time around, you can catch her next time she is up from Sydney.

Mass mask production.
Well craft was on fire yesterday. Our resident Lesley put together a workshop for all residents to come along and learn how to make masks. There were different stations set up throughout the community centre, from pinning, sewing, cutting, folding and measuring. Lesley has an extensive background in sewing and it was such a pleasure to see everyone working together and a fantastic opportunity for our new residents to meet everyone. A special thanks from Lesley to Pam, Gillian and Bev for sewing. I think there was approximately 100 masks in the making and will be finished off at our next craft afternoon. See you all there.
